Giant Dunes: Giant Dunes in Sossusvlei Namibia. The highest sand dunes in the world reaching over 300 meters (1,000 ft) in height. The trees give an idea of the giant size. At sunset the atmosphere is surreal.
Contemplative Moment: A contemplative moment in the middle of the Namib desert. I always feel calm looking at this picture
Victoria Falls: The mighty Victoria Falls straddling Zambia and Zimbabwe. Victoria Falls is classified as the largest, based on its combined width of 1,708 metres (5,604 ft) and height of 108 metres (354 ft), resulting in the world’s largest sheet of falling water. Victoria Falls is roughly twice the height of Niagara Falls and it’s very very loud! I waited for a few hours to get the rainbow in the shot.
Men at Work: Fishermen pulling their boat at the end of the day near Inhambane, Southern Mozambique . Coming back from a day diving for whale sharks I saw these men on the beach. The image reminded me of the old sepias of the 19th century early African discoveries. I felt like expressing it in that tone.
Monk: This monk lived on a boat in Inle Lake in Burma (now Myanmar). I loved his calm and composed demeanor
Divine Light: This is one of my favorite pictures. This Tibetan temple was filled with incense smoke giving texture to the sun rays coming from the roof.
Potala Palace: The Potala Palace wa the residence of the Dalai Lama in Lhasa Tibet. It is a beautiful building in the unreal setting of the highest city in the world being at 12,000 ft.
Sunset in Tanzania: African sunsets are unlike anything else in the world. The two silhouettes add a sense of scale to the giant trees.
Tiger’s Nest Temple: Paro Taktsang or Taktsang Palphug Monastery also known as Tiger’s Nest Temple is one of the most magic sites in Bhutan. The hike up to the temple adds to the mystic of the experience.
Fly: Sometimes looking through an object can be more interesting than looking at an object
Lijiang Temple: A beautiful sight in the city of Lijiang. Located at 8,000 ft in the Yunnan province of China, the old town of Lijiang is an extraordinary maze of bridges and waterways. It is a pleasure to just walk around and absorb its sights.
Happy: Wandering through the souks of Morocco I was impressed by the bearing of this man and his profound gaze.
Beauty in Bora Bora: It is hard to have an original take on something as iconic as Mount Otemanu the signature mountain of Bora Bora. So I could only improve it by adding the beautiful profile of my wife.
Eruption: A lava explosion of the volcano Mount Yasur on Tanna Island in Vanuatu. Mt Yasur is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. On the rim of the crater you can feel the heat and the clouds of ashes generated by the constant eruptions of the lava lake.
