What is striking in Antarctica is the immensity of the landscape. You can observe hundreds of kilometers of landscape at one with towering mountains of thousands of meters rising from the ocean. And in that immensity a few rare animals dot the horizon. Lone birds, single whales or sometime a pair traveling together, a seal on an iceberg. And yet the few survive.
