Jumping Dolphin 1

An amazing show of nature: a pod of dolphins was swimming quietly in the gorgeous Bay of Islands, New Zealand when this individual decided to do a series of jumps outside the water. It easily reached 5 meters (15ft) outside the water. Why do dolphins jump out of the water in nature? The jumps are believed to be either a way of communication, or a way to better see prey in the water or, a way to clean skin parasites or simply to have fun. All valid theories!
