A gentoo penguin arches its neck towards its chicks who seem to bask in the adult's protection. A very tender moment in an otherwise harsh and fragile environment. Gentoo Penguins are threatened by climate change and by the overfishing by humans of krill, a tiny crustacean that is part of the penguins’ diet. In Paradise Bay, Antarctica.
